Jon Christopher Davis and Kelli Davis met as teenagers in high school, fell in love, and married eight years later in their early twenties. A few years later, Kelli became pregnant with their daughter, Claire. One night during the pregnancy, Jon Christopher, a talented Texas singer-songwriter on Palo Duro Records, came home from the recording studio with a surprise for his wife. He then played her the song, "Baby looks good on you," which he had written and recorded that day to express his joy and love for Kelli during her pregnancy.

"Baby looks good on you" quickly became one of Jon Christopher's most requested numbers during his live performances; so, he included it on his next record. People in the audience began asking if they could buy the single song to give to their pregnant friends or wife. Soon after, enthusiasm building, Jon Christopher began to receive requests for other Baby looks good on you gift products.
